Europe Faces Another Summer of Extreme Heat as Temperatures Rise
Europe is once again experiencing intense summer heat, with several countries reporting unusually high temperatures. Southern European nations such as Italy, Spain, Greece, and parts of France have been among the hardest hit, prompting weather agencies to issue heat warnings and advise residents to take precautions.
Meteorologists say that temperatures above 35°C (95°F) have become increasingly common during the summer months, while some regions have exceeded 40°C (104°F) during severe heatwaves. Health officials encourage people to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day, and check on elderly relatives and other vulnerable individuals.
The extreme heat has also increased the risk of wildfires in dry areas, placing additional pressure on emergency services. In some regions, drought conditions have affected agriculture and reduced water supplies, creating challenges for farmers and local communities.
